PVC SHROUD (BLACK)
PVC shrouds (black) are available in sizes ranging from 20S to 75L and are used to provide additional protection for cable glands, minimizing the risk of dirt or foreign substances accumulating around the gland body. These shrouds can be made from high-grade PVC using dip molding or injection molding techniques. The arrow end of the sleeves is designed to be easily cut to fit various cable diameters and aid in installation.
Available sizes:
20S, 20L, 25S, 25L, 32S, 32L, 40S, 40L, 50S, 50L, 63S, 63L, 75S, and 75L.
Purpose:
To enhance the IP rating of cable gland terminations and protect them from weather and corrosion.
To minimize the risk of dirt or foreign substances accumulating on the cable gland body or cable-to-gland interface.
To improve the ingress protection of cable glands in certain situations.
Material:
Standard shrouds are typically made from black PVC.
Installation:
The arrow end of the shroud can be easily cut to fit different cable diameters.
Shrouds are designed to be pushed onto the cable gland.
