3M SCOTCH® SUPER 35 VINYL ELECTRICAL TAPE 19MM X 20.1M X 0.177MM – BLACK, RED, YELLOW, BLUE, GREEN, ORANGE, GREY & BROWN
Scotch Vinyl Electrical Tape 35 is a 7 mil (0.177 mm) polyvinyl chloride (PVC) colour-coding tape. It offers excellent electrical and mechanical properties, making it suitable for phase identification, motor lead color coding, piping system identification and safety area marking.
The tape operates over a wide temperature range of up to 221°F (105°C), applies smoothly and conforms well at temperatures above 32°F (0°C).
Applications
Colour coding for phase identification, job identification and safety marking.
Insulating electrical wiring.
Protecting electrical conductors, motor leads and piping against moisture, alkalis, acids, corrosion, abrasion and weather exposure.
Installation
Apply in half-lapped layers with sufficient tension to achieve a uniform covering.
For pigtail splices, wrap the tape beyond the end of the wire, fold it back and overlap to provide a protective cushion against cut-through.
When wrapping, work from smaller to larger diameter surfaces. Apply the final wrap without tension to prevent flagging.
