Application : 

These cables offer enhanced circuit integrity over the same rated power cable. It is mainly used in installation where vital circuit are required to continue to operate in the event of a fire. It is suited for use in public buildings like shopping complex , hospitals , theatres , mass transit utilities , oil & gas plants , etc.

Mica fire barrier , low smoke halogen free insulated , non sheathed cable, Master Tec FR cables meets the following cable specifications : 

  • BS 6387 - Performance requirements for cables to maintain circuit integrity under fire conditions.
  • IEC 60331 - Fire resisting characteristics of electric cables.
  • IEC 60332-1 - Flame retardant characteristics of electric cables.
  • IEC 60332-3 - Test on electric cables under fire conditions Part 3 : Tests on bunched wires or cables.
  • IEC 60754 - Test on gases evolved during combustion of materials from cables
  • IEC 61034 - Measurement of smoke density of cables burning under defined condition
